About

I'm Manula, a surf photographer based in Weligama on Sri Lanka's south coast. I swim out with a water housing and shoot from the lineup, so you get the angles you can't get from the beach.

I shoot most days at Weligama, Midigama, Ahangama and Hiriketiya, and at Arugam Bay in the east-coast season (around May to October). Every session is planned around the swell, the tide and your level.

I've shot for surfers and brands including Roxy, FCS, Okanui, Seea and Bing, and covered WSL qualifying events and Red Bull Ride My Wave.
